For your consideration is a lovely vintage sterling silver trinket dish, salt dish or ashtray made by Aucello Brothers. I cannot find much information on the silversmith, but the piece is just lovely with its two leaves and three ball feet. It has not been cleaned or polished and retains its original patina. The underside is marked with Sterling by Aucello Bros but it is very faint and was very hard to photograph. It has been acid tested with 18k acid to confirm is it sterling silver (it turned blue on the stone). The dish measures 3.2" in diameter by .75" tall. Each leaf is appoximatley 1.25" long. It weighs 33.96 grams. Its very well done and would make a lovely addition to your collection or to hold your jewelry on your night stand!
