  • Beschreibung: Porträt eines Mannes mittleren Alters im Brustbild. Den Kopf zur Seite gewendet, trägt der Dargestellte eine Robe, wie sie beispielsweise Hochschullehrer einst trugen. Zusammen mit seinem entschiedenen, aber sanften Blick, erzeugt er das Bild eines Gelehrten um die Jahrhundertwende.

  • Description: Portrait of a middle-aged man in a half-length portrait. Turning his head to the side, the sitter wears a robe such as university lecturers once wore. Together with his resolute but gentle gaze, he creates the image of a scholar at the turn of the century.
