  • Beschreibung: Aufwändig gestaltete Votivkarte mit floralem Rankwerk und geprägtem Zierrahmen. Unter der Abdeckung eine Darstellung Josefs mit dem Jesuskind in seinem Arm. In seiner rechten hält er eine weiße Lilie. Votivkarten oder Votivbilder, nicht selten kunstfertig gestaltet, sind Votivgaben und damit Gegenstände, die aufgrund eines Gelübdes bzw. einer Verlobung als Dankesgabe für Errettung aus Not, Gefahr, von Krankheit u.a. öffentlich dargebracht werden.   • Description: Elaborately designed votive card with floral vine work and embossed decorative frame. Under the cover a depiction of Joseph with the infant Jesus in his arms. In his right hand he holds a white lily. Votive cards or votive pictures, not infrequently artistically designed, are votive offerings and thus objects that are publicly offered on the basis of a vow or a betrothal as a thank-you gift for salvation from hardship, danger, illness, etc. The small-format votive cards usually contain a small devotional picture and are designed with elaborate ornamentation.
