Description:  Beautiful Large Antique  Solid Silver Vesta case, quality genuine 111 years old example. Larger than usual decorated all over with a beautiful foliate scroll engraving. Gilded interior with Gold Cartouche.

Assay Mark: Chester, Silversmiths, J&?G unclear.

Date:  English antique  solid sterling silver with a full set of English silver hallmarks for Chester 1912 (date letter "M"). Good clear struck silver marks.

Measurement: Measures approx. H= 55 mm x  W= 42 mm

Weight: 27.57 grams

Condition: Clean & Nice lovely condition. Does have a minor knock on the left-hand side, See last image on close up.

Nice condition with no splits or  holes and no  nasty knocks or dents, a nice clean genuine antique example. There may be the odd age related wear/mark commensurate with age, anything of note is listed above.

The sprung silver lid hinge works perfectly and the lid opens and closes securely and the spring is still strong.
