Measuring just 6cm in length and weighing a mere 280g, the first thing that stands out about this lens is its size. It's tiny, almost as tiny as its cheaper and less exceptional f2.8 counterpart, unobtrusive and unintimidating. The faster f2 aperture opens up new creative possibilities for low light situations. These days, its best for summer nostalgia vibes with classic optics offering a new inflection to the indentikit, computed clarity of modern optics. This is your dad's lens - slight softenss at f2, bit of legacy coma, touch of vignette, for something pictorial, leisurely and classical.
As you can see from the photographs taken earlier, the lens up for auction today continues to be in excellent condition, exhibiting only normal signs of use.
