This is one of the finest student C trumpets you may find. Best starter horn, for a reasonable budget.

John Packer 152S C Trumpet in Silver.

This trumpet was played by a community orchestra principal, for the past five years, who is graduating to pro model with a .462 L bore. The horn's original stock rose brass leadpipe was a little 'woolly' and the so richer Bach 7 was professionally added by the Baltimore Symphony Tech, and the result is excellent in both slot and attack. The tone is medium, neither dark nor light. It projects well as do most C trumpets, in an orchestra setting. It is a bit bright for a small quintet but puts out well in a church setting where brilliance is required. Some slide tarnish. This horn is a looker actually, its really quite pretty. Intonation is incredible actually, low F# to high B. Not sure if the high C is weak because of the player, but it's there pretty good. Valves are fairly fast, better than any Bundy, King, Conn/Selmer, Olds; maybe not as good as a Bach or Yamaha, certainly not a Getzen or Schilke. The case is immaculate and new, was never used as the horn was placed into a triple bag.

No dents
No major scratches
Minor mars

Generic 7C mouthpiece is included

JP Ultra Pure Oil is included

The stock JP152 C Trumpet leadpipe is included if you want to go back to stock. (But why? When clean, this thing plays like a Yamaha)

Please see all the pictures, the expanded version with all the valves and slides out. Everything is free. It was just given a hot water flush and rinse, you may choose to chem clean if you see fit. Your leadpipe receiver depth may be slightly different if you use a different mouthpiece, impacting the tone slots a bit. That is, some other mouthpieces sit shallower or deeper into the horn and can be used to customize your horn for your embouchure and projection. The included 7C plays bright and well across its range.

You are getting a fine horn for the dollar. Please bid with confidence. Veteran ebayer, 24 hour turnaround, well packed for water and impact, flat rate to the US shipping. No international, no returns. Pictures are of the item you will receive, there is no other. No scams, this is legit ! Thoughtfully packed against shipping impact or water insults.

Thanks
