Incredibly durable Swedish army LK35 rucksack with steel frame, shoulder and back support straps.

This example is unusual because it features additional rings attached to the top and bottom of the back panel, allowing it to be carried without the frame! A very useful feature, as the frame is quite angular and might not always be needed, for example on short walks or when travelling by air.

This rucksack is popular with Bushcraft and survival enthusiasts due to its simple design and durable materials. It consists of a large main compartment with a small subdivision at the back, and is fastened with a drawstring and adjustable flap. The main fastening straps run up from the base, and can be used to retain additional kit, while the flap has attached utility straps that can be used to carry items on top of the rucksack. There’s another attached strap on the front, intended to go around the handle of an axe or a shovel, with the head tucked through a loop at the drawstring collar.

The pack has two pairs of loops on the back for hanging it on the frame, and two adjustable straps for securing it. There’s a grab handle too, which these rucksacks usually lack.

Sturdy waterproof-coated nylon fabric and nylon webbing throughout, with anodised aluminium buckles etc. Frame is steel with some treated rust where the paint has flaked. Shoulder and back straps and in good condition.

Please examine the photographs. No returns please, I’m selling this old favourite to make space.
