Manufactured by Meccano Ltd of Liverpool, circa 1929. For Hornby Series 0 gauge range.

A matching pair of coaches as supplied train sets of the period; one each, Dining Car & Sleeping Car.

Enamelled finish in the Prussian blue livery of the Wagon Lit Company with gold transfer lettering.

Structurally sounds & complete with a full set of correct fittings - I will include 4 drop-link couplings to assist.

Heavily scuffed but well worth conserving the original finish - most of the damage is to the corners & lower edges, the lettering has survived largely unscathed. The roofs have areas of paint chipping at the ends but are otherwise very good.

Both coaches still retain the original celluloid glazing strips.

Offered as found for an interesting & worthwhile conservation project.
