Rare Original Vintage 1950s Green Ballerina Chalk Ware Lamp 13” Tall USA.

In excellent condition for a 75 year old lamp.
She Measures 13.5” to her head &  16” to the brass light fitting
I’ve done a full assessment of any marks. I’m lucky to only have slight wear that doesn’t detract from this lamp, just added more character. Sadly parting with one of my many chalk ware lamps from the USA. I adore them for that authentic Mid Century Modern 50s Decor isn’t complete with out one.

Observations of Lamp
photo #3 shows a slight line on right shoulder, slight wear to the trim of her green yellow dress.
Photo #4 see scratch behind her right foot
Photos #6 Shows wear dots to the base back near plug
Photo #7 some wear dots on the left side back of the base
Photo #8 Use to have a felt bottom but taken off when rewired
Photo #9 The plug was rewired here with new cord & plug, which you can use or change

I shipped over most of  belongings when I move here from Los Angeles 28 years ago. I had it rewired in the UK, I used it here with no problems. I just wanted to say it’s not PAC tested, I was going to cut the cord off , but I’ll leave it up to you to decide.  This takes a screw in bulb

Shes a solid heavy piece that will need to be wrapped well, and insured Incase lost or damaged. I take great pride in wrapping any item to ensure it arrives in the same condition as when I sent it.

Please be patient as I have longer shipping times due to medical emergency so it’s set for 10-15 days posting. I aim to get out quickly but juggling 2 households and I’ve been in hospital, so I had to change as it’s too stressful.

Thank you for looking

Please do not hesitate to ask any questions

Will be wrapped well and sent for full value insurance via Royal Mail as expensive

We are selling off much of our private collection of vintage fabric and other cherished items. We have moved mum in to care for and we need the space. We have an extensive collection of vintage fabric & clothing which has been stored in plastic boxes for 25+ years in the family attic. Plus I was a set & wardrobe designer on music videos, commercials and films in Los Angeles & London. Some of the older fabrics that were on the bolt were taken off and put in boxes, but the fabric wasn't washed until I used it. I will not wash it, but some fabrics are over 70+ years and will need a good soak from years of dust.

I have a simple recipe using Vanish regular no bleach. with a bit of Dawn, (ie, UK Fairy liquid,)

The trick people miss people miss out is that it needs to be activated with a bit of boiling water in a measuring cup, which  activates it and makes it foam up. I than add it to a basin of cool water before adding the fabrics and stir. It really brings the fabric back to life with out ruining  the vintage fabrics with harsh detergents and definitely never in a washing.  I soak in a hand basin over night and air dry after rinsing in cool water. Just a little tip I have learnt from using vintage fabrics for decades.

All items are sold as is, some items are RARE and over 70 years old and We try our best to point out any faults! No returns accepted, unless broken in the post with photo attached. Please make sure you want it or PLEASE ask questions before. We are not a business, we am selling off much of our family vintage collectibles and fabrics. We take great pride in wrapping our vintage parcels, as we do not want them to be damaged in transit. We use packing foam, bubble wrap, peanuts and baggies, and other packing materials. I do combine postage, but sometimes it isn’t as easy as one thinks as you have to wrap everything well. There is a small fee for materials in the postage. It isn’t much, I sent all my parcels signed for, tracked and insured to ensure the customer receives it. Postage has gone up, its the same for a small box or item that isn’t small or large envelope, that won’t fit through a letter box , so are considered small parcels. There has also been price increases on 13% Ebay, 2.5% Paypal & VAT fees which are not shown in the listings, and they add up.
