NOTE:  THIS LISTING REPLACES THE PREVIOUS LISTING AS IT INCORPORATES NEW ITEMS FOUND AT JAMES C. CORCORAN'S ESTATE.

Up for auction is a vintage estate find grouping for James C. Corcoran and his wife Clarice D. Defenbau from late 1945 postwar Berlin, Germany up through 1955, Clarice "Sue" was with the US Army in Germany for 10 years, 1945 - 1955, and James was in Germany with the US Army MP for 3 - 4 years, from 1952 - 1955 where they met sometime in 1952, and shows James C. Corcoran's US Army career through the early 1950's - 1960's with slightly over 700 combined photos.  This is a great piece of postwar occupied Germany history as well as a nice group for Military Police and Military Marksmanship / Shooting enthusiasts.

I was contemplating breaking this grouping into a few separate groups but I didn't have the heart to do it as the entire grouping weaves a postwar story together of a US Army couple who met and were married in Germany, stayed until 1955, and then went back to the states moving with James C. Corcoran's US Army orders.  It appears James C. Corcoran moved up the ranks as far as Lieutenant Commander in the US Army and retired in the early to mid 1960's and became an architect.
