For sale is a fun figurine made in the Paris region - most likely by Rue de la Pierre - Levee around the late 19th century. The figure is of a lady standing behind a laterna magica with a slide for the magic lantern in front and a wooden windmill toy on a string she is holding next to it. The slide is especially nicely painted in this example! The lady is nicely dressed and has a small drum hanging of her hip and a violin under her arm. Looks like she is ready to entertain! Magic lantern pieces are hard to find and quite sought after. The piece has La Fillette au Moulin D'Apres Chardin written in gilding on the front edge of the base - it means something like the little girl at the windmill after Chardin. Some sort of painter maybe? The figure is marked with the crossed arrow mark in blue
