Audio Technica AT33Sa

Moving coil pickup

The AT33Sa is Audio-Technica's first moving coil pickup with Shibata grinding. In addition to the high-performance line-contact pickups, the Shibata-cut pickup offers rich, strong mids and bass. The Shibata cut stylus is mounted on a boron stylus with double dampening to improve sound quality.

Advanced conical boron needle carrier and reduced weight

The AT33Sa is equipped with a conical boron needle carrier. The conical shape of the needle carrier and the reduction of the coil winding reduce the weight, allowing the pickup to offer better performance and a wider sound reproduction.

Neodymium magnet with improved magnetic energy and Permendur spring yoke

The neodymium magnet has a maximum energy product of BHmax 50 (kJ/m3). The yoke offers high saturation density and excellent magnetic properties. Together they provide additional reinforcement of the magnetic field between the coils.

PCOCC coil

PCOCC* wire enables pristine transmission
