Exquisite late 1950s/early 1960s Hand Tailored Vanny Silk and Silk Lined Turquoise Dress - amazing color and construction, banded armholes, banded and embroidered tabbed neckline, ditto the matching and arced belt for fit, back metal zipper, lightly tucked waist, darted bodice, tabbed and embroidered side slits at hem. 2 hidden side seam pockets. 100% silk. 100% fabulous.
Flaws? None to note. Structurally sound and cleaned, which is our practice with most vintage clothing.
It measures: bust 34-35, waist 24-26, hips 38, shoulder to shoulder 14, length 39, hem sweep 40. Side vents measure 5 inches. Belt measures 26 inches.

It has history, was, most likely, lovingly worn and cared for and endured far more years than most of us - in most cases 70 to 100 plus years. We try to detail every imperfection, but some seam separations, discoloring and stains may escape us; however we strive to repair and clean these wonderful designs from the 20s, 30s, 40s, 50s and 60s ( I rarely dabble in post 1970 clothing). If you want perfect, I suggest you look elsewhere for newer clothing. If you want wonderful echoes of past designs and their attention to detail, we may have items that will appeal to you.
