Colossal and very rare 17th century Dutch  'RAVESTEYN ' Staten-Bible in original binding with brass clasps and corner pieces and 6 maps made by Claes Visscher - The Hague, 1649.

Complete, compact , solid. The 6 maps are loose in the Bible. Lacks one part of the clasps. Binding needs some attention, lacks part of the upper and lower spine. Most of the maps are a bit frayed and need attention and restauration with Japanese paper. Interior a bit spotty occasionally , but mostly very clean.

The 'Ravesteyn'Bible is considered one of  the most beautiful Dutch Staten-Bible ever made.
