These is a rare and wonderful First Edition leather book published in 1845 in Philadelphia by the Presbyterian Board of Publications. It is a combination of science subjects dealing with BOTANY and ZOOLOGY that includes a deep study of plants and animals, as related to the Holy Scriptures of the Bible. The book is wonderfully illustrated with engravings. It is titled “Scripture Natural History” and contains a description of Quadrupeds, Birds, Reptiles, Amphibia, Fishes, Insects, Molluscous Animals, Corals, Plants, Trees, Precious Stones, and Metals.

The covers are a beautiful deep green leather and the spine is in black leather with gold lettering. The book has been numbered in handwriting on the inside cover as book number 466.

The book is in good condition with foxing and yellowing of pages and inside covers, and some condition on spine and covers (as pictured). All pages are in intact and the book has been well preserved.
