Very rare illuminated leaf from a medieval book in Latin, with beautiful handwritten Ex Libris from the year 1492 (!)
15th century text on both sides printed in Latin, with handcoloured coat of arms and large initial, manuscript on upper and lower part of the leaf.
In the lower part an ornamental letter pasted on the previous one: coat of arms with written the letters : 'd.l.a.M' and the inscription 'Iste Liber est Magistri Joannis Plueml Ingolstatensis Sacre theologie Licentiati anno Dn 1492'.
Johannes Plueml, (Plüml, Pleumel) lived between approximately 1450 and 1508 and was rector and dean at Ingolstadt University, faculty of arts. He had a large collection and signed several of his books this way...
