Primrose Pattern Description: This pattern features tan/yellow scrolls mixed with pink and blue flowers on an ivory/cream background. The smooth edges are finished in a gold metallic trim. made in Waldershof, Bavaria, Germany. 

Maker's Mark: The black oval maker's mark has Johann Haviland above a crown over Bavaria over Germany. The brand ceased doing business in the late 1980's. Although it's wares did not attract the high prices of the Limoges Haviland brother's businesses, the earthenware made in Germany was intentionally heavier and more durable than their expensive counterparts. Accordingly, this fine set of dinnerware shows very little signs of use and has nominal shelf wear to the soles of the pieces.
