For sale is an original early WW2 M1 helmet cover that has slits on the crown and flaps of the cover and has been marked with a USMC eagle globe and anchor (this is not a blue anchor cover, it is the first type of frogskin cover that was produced during WW2). The shell is a WW2 rear seam schlueter with swivel bales and chinstraps with green painted hardware. Shell appears to have a Korean War darker repaint present on it, heat stamp is 493A. Liner is a Korean War era Westinghouse liner with a Micarta 1952 dated tag and sweatband has a name written on it. Nape strap area is salty/a little fragile from how this liner has had a sweatband connected to it. See photos for overall condition of everything. (black stand is for display only and not included)
