This beautiful hand made blown glass decanter dates from around the late 1800s/early 1900s.
It features a beautifully hand etched design in typical Austrian/German folk art style. On one side of the bottle are two birds with two flaming hearts between them. The other side has a floral design as do the two sides.
I have found a few similar examples online that are signed and listed as Lobmeyr, however this one isn’t signed.
It has a polished pontil on the base and the number 30 etched which matches the stopper which is also etched 30.
It’s in overall nice condition for its age. A couple of tiny flea bites from the inside of the stopper and some light scratches on the base. It is hazy inside from evaporated water marks. I don’t have a bottle brush to clean this and warm water hasn’t removed them. They should clean off however as I was able to wipe away similar marks with a cloth inside the neck.
It measures:
17 cm tall (with stopper)
8cm deep
15cm wide
