I bought this back in the 90's and it's been stashed and moved and moved.

Time to be framed and put in someone's room.

This vintage Led Zeppelin concert poster is a true gem for any music lover. Produced by Bill Graham Presents in 1977 for the Oakland show, it captures the essence of the band's iconic rock and pop music. The poster measures 19 3/4x 28 1/4 inches.

This is a REAL AND ORIGINAL poster. The spreckles (spots) of green in the walkways proves it's authenticity. Supposedly, Randy Tuten used the spreckles (spots) of green as it is a anti-copy technique. Which evidently worked as is proven by the copies that were made in the early 1980's has no green in the walkways, only black. It is printed on a on heavy stock.

Although no one knew it at the time, the July 23rd and 24th 1977 performances by Led Zeppelin at Oakland Stadium were to be the band's very last performances in the United States. The remaining tour dates were abruptly canceled following the sudden death of Robert Plant's five-year-old son, and a planned tour in support of 1980's In Through The Out Door was never realized due to the passing of John Bonham. But the '77 tour was a monster, with the group reaching new all-time records for concert attendance and gross receipts on the forty-plus dates which preceeded Oakland.

The shows there, part of Bill Graham's "Day On The Green" series, hold additional notoriety in the group's history. After the first Oakland performance, a scuffle arose between members of Graham's staff and the Zeppelin tour entourage which landed several of Graham's people in the hospital and led to the arrest of John Bonham as well as Zeppelin's manager, tour manager and head of security.

A peace was quickly brokered and the second performance went on, although a lawsuit followed and suspended sentences and fines were later levied. The poster offered here is a rare first printing featuring a fantastic futuristic zeppelin motif by Randy Tuten, who designed many Led Zeppelin tour posters beginning in the late 1960s.It is in overall Very Good condition with slight edgewear.
