19th Century gorgeous Antique patinated Bronze Sculpture called "La Lecon dÁstronomie" (The Astronomy Lesson) depicting a classical nobel lady with lyre at her feet seeking advice from an ancient Egyptian Pharaoh lady astronomer. The sculpture has magnificent neat details all over (face, hair, hands, feet, draped robes, head cover, jewelry,  etc.) signed by the French Sculptor DUCHOISELLE (19th Century).  

Approx. Height: 11", Width 11", Depth 7. Weight: About 15.5 lb (7.0 kg).

Inscribed Duchoiselle on the side of the base (and also under the feet of the Pharaoh on the front of the base). It is in very good antique condition for its age with no scratches, rubbings, and few greenish dots/spots, with no damage, or bents. Heavy construction. Has light brown yellowish patina.
