For sale is a figure of a Russian Wolfhound or Borzoi made by Nymphenburg in the early 20th century from its original period! He was designed by the famous Theodor Kaerner whose models of animals are the best in the porcelain world. This piece has the perfect pose for this breed - lying down with on leg stretched straight out! The figure is 4.75 inches tall, 5 inches wide and 11.125 inches long. It is marked underneath with the impressed shield mark, impressed number 5 and incised number 438. There is a painter's mark at the bottom edge of the back of the figurine as shown. It is in superb condition which is amazing considering the one outstretched leg in front. 20thC 20th century German Hundefigur antique
