Antique 18thC Ansbach Porcelain Figurine Figure Porzellan Figur German Germany

This product data sheet is originally written in English.

For sale is a rare figurine made made by Ansbach in the 18th century . It is of a nicely dressed lady holding a basket filled with flowers in front with a single flower in her left hand. She has a pearl necklace with a cross pendant in the front which is quite typical for this maker. Nice apron on a plain skirt and a purple top. On her head she has a little flat hat also typical for this maker. Ansbach started making porcelain around 1758 and the factory flourished from 1758 through 1777. They closed somewhere around 1860 but the factory was already in private hands since 1807. The figurine is not marked underneath which is also typical of Ansbach since their figures where never marked with the factory marks. Another typical thing is that their figurines are super lightweight and this piece is no exception. The figurine is 4.5 inches tall,1.75 inches wide and deep. The figure is in good condition with a tiny chip to the back of her hat, the fingers on her right hand are damaged, the thumb on her left hand is damaged as well, some very minor chipping to the flower petals and a chip to the base which seems to have resulted from a firing flaw. All in all a very rare piece that is in great shape!
