Here is a vintage men’s top hat made by Dunlap and Company, New York sold by JG Bennett and Co. Pittsburgh. The hat is in great shape as can be seen in the pictures. The interior and exterior are clean and ready for use. The leather hat box has some of the leather skin dried and peeled away in some places. the leather straps inside the box are intact and in good shape to hold the hat in place. the black silky fabric inside is all in great shape. Additionally, on the outside the lock is intact. It says patented 2 of 97, assuming that is 1897. leather around the lock is embossed And display nicely. the lid has the handle is intact and there is remnants of an old tag on it. As you can see, someone has attached a piece of felt with tape to keep the hat clean when it when it is packed inside of the box. a great display piece for your home

Hat has no size marks. It measures 7.5 x 6” on inside head measurement. Overall 11.25 by 10 at base. Case is 13.5” long and 11.5” wide at top. 8” high. Circumference of the hat almost 20”.
