For sale is a large grouping that belonged to Karl J Fetzer, who enlisted in February 1943 from the Bronx and served with the 97th Infantry Division towards the end of the war. He either served with the 303rd, 386th, or 387th Infantry Regiment. I believe he started off with the 97th and fought with them during their entire service in the ETO from March to June 1945. I haven’t been able to find much information on the vet, but these items came from the family in the Bronx. The person who I bought it from was doing a house clean out for the family, and they were going to throw out all of his items. Thankfully they were saved from the landfill along with some bring backs that I can’t post on this site.

This grouping includes his M43 jacket with 97th ID patch (jacket is missing 3 buttons), 1 tailored HBT jacket (repaired, stained, some holes) and one standard 2nd pattern HBT jacket (similar condition issues), his duffel bag, 2 jacket hoods, 3 HBT hats that are heavily used, 1 wool watch cap, mess kit and canteen with his name engraved (all WWI dated), 2 uniform belts, Infantry piped garrison cap, 1 pair of athletic shorts that are a size 34, 1 1930s/40s swim trunks that have the 97th ID and 2nd Army patch on them, 1 pair of socks with repairs, 1 misc, bag, 1 bring back plaque (the board it is attached to is post war), 1 WWII army issued RIGHT glove only, a pair of boot spike attachments, and a bunch of heavily used and repaired gators. All of the jackets and the pair of shorts have the cheesecloth tags in them, but they are all washed out. Also keep in mind all of these items were likely used in combat and show lots of wear and tear and have repairs. If you have any questions or want to see more photos of something please feel free to ask.

Also, there will be no international shipping offered for this lot. It is too many items and the package weighs 21 pounds.
