Lovely Mahakala mask from Nepal



An absolutely beautiful, handcrafted piece! There are 2 of them that I purchased together.
It comes from a Tibetan who was sitting on the way up to the Swayambhunath Stupa and selling his things there.

The material is brass with very fine details. Mahakala weighs approx. 600 grams!

 

Mahakala - the wrathful deity

Mahakala is a Buddhist deity of Tibet.
