the car has only 59,000 miles on since new, very low mileage for a 42 year old car!

It is totally original and unmodified, very hard to find these days in such original condition as most have been messed with and spoiled with modifications, this one has escaped that thankfully!

the interior is outstanding, it smells lovely, the seats, door cards, dash, parcel shelf, carpet, roof liner  and centre console are all perfect, the dash has no cracks, and is like new, as is the steering wheel, and gear knob with no wear, 

it has the opening front quarter windows and lockable boot storage box, which contains the original sunroof bag, and the tool kit still in the original bag, it also has a factory top tint windscreen, 

being the Ghia model it has the highest spec trim and interior, Velour seats, deep pile carpets, fully trimmed door cards, glovebox, tinted glass, digital clock, flocked coin holder, walnut effect facia, soft feel high spec dash with rev counter etc and a factory sunroof, 4 spoke soft feel steering wheel. sports gear knob, and fully sound insulated, it is also the very rare 1300 engine with twin weber carb, electronic ignition, and auto choke, it has a full set of Ghia alloys that have been powder coated, although i am not keen on the colour, but they are very straight and in great condition,

the 1300 also has rear anti roll bar and quite a few differences to the 1100 model

the bodywork i would say is really very good but not mint, it has a few small imperfections that will need some cosmetic work doing, and the left sill has some bubbles coming through on the outer skin at the rear that was advised on the last mot, but is a very easy repair, the current MOT runs until the 25th of may 2024, but is tax and MOT exempt, 

the sill lips that meet the floor are perfect, the sills on the whole are really very very good, it has the original wings, there is a small blister by the drivers side headlight, the doors and boot are perfect, as is the bonnet, inner wings etc, the engine bay is very clean and tidy, the boot floor is also very good, there is a blister on the right rear arch lip, but the arches are really very good, the underside of the car is not plastered with underseal and never has, it has never been welded on any of the floors, chassis or boot floor, the only bit of welding i can find is on the inside front right tie bar mount, the inner rear sills are also original and have not been welded, but says there was corrosion on an old mot, but it has not been welded or plated on the rear inner sills, there are 2 small areas that have been treated by the sunroof but it is NOT rotten! 

the paint is in very nice condition with the odd tiny mark, the car also has its original side mouldings and the black pinstripes are an original factory item only fitted to the late model mk1 Ghias, as are the side repeaters on the front wings, the bumpers are straight and not dinged up and all 4 bumper over riders are perfect, 

it has had a full service recently, and the engine and gearbox are as sweet as a nut, 

the service it has had last week was, oil and filter, air filter, bosch HT leads, distributor cap and rotor arm, valve clearances checked, water pump, fan belt, plugs, track rod ends, bottom ball joints, 

it has also recently had a new master cylinder, and alternator and battery, 

i have some new parts i have bought for the car that are NOT inc in the sale but available at extra cost, 

i have a complete brand new old stock exhaust system £250 these are no longer avail for the 1300 MK1 model, and took me a very very long time to find you wont find another stock 1300 system that is new with the stickers still on, they are really really very hard to find!

i also have a brand new in the box carb for the 1300 model, this is a twin choke weber that cost £380, 

I have a mk1 XR2 gearbox i bought for the car, its a straight swap from the 1300 one, i planned on doing this as the 1300 gearbox is quite revy and the XR2 box has longer ratios meaning it will do less RPM at motorway speeds, i have a brandnew clutch kit too, and a radiator, 

i have some panels too, and a set of brand new tyres the current ones are not matching and i think the front tyres are trailer tyres, these have been on it since i bought it, the radio is a very rare and expensive top of the range genuine ford digital AM LW FM stereo radio cassette player with digital search function it sounds great!, this was an expensive option at the time the car was new, it cost me £300, it will not come with the car, the original lower spec one will unless agreed otherwise, 

it has a folder with history, handbooks and service book, and genuine ford keys 2 sets, it still also has the original dealer number plates, Abbey Garage ford dealer Somerset, the number plate is also very fitting for a Ghia model, GYA,

these cars are highly sought after, 1300 Ghia's very rarely come up for sale on the market, Mk1 xr2s and 1300 Supersports are 15 to 25K nowadays, perfect mk1 1300 Ghia's have fetched well over 10k in recent years and some that have been off the road needing a full going through have also fetched 10k at auction, the example i am selling is on the road, totally complete, in well above average condition, and priced accordingly, if it does not sell i am more than happy to keep it, it will only be listed once, 

the car is located in Verwood Dorset, buyer must collect, and be paid for before it can be taken away, silly offers will be ignored,
