Pyrograph On Calf Skin Leather.

What we have here is a depiction of The Tablet At The Entrance To The Sanctuary. The Temple of The Cross in Palenque, Mexico.

It’s been executed on a leather calf skin by drawing on the pelt with a heated implement, known as pyrography an ancient form of Mayan art.

Frame measures 41 inches by 21 inches so this is a larger than normally found piece .

I’m willing to remove the item from the frame to post but only after discussing this with the buyer. I will send in frame but will not accept any breakages or returns of damaged items.
