Super rare print titled “A Dream Fulfilled” from George’s work for the Starlight Foundation. George signed and personalized the print with a long, sweet note with a ton of Cajun references and a drawing of a cypress tree. The note reads:

“To Marla, thank you and with all my heart I hope you’ll become a real coon-ass Cajun girl. But you’ll have to come to Louisiana to Breaux Bridge and dance at Mulatas to Cajun music and then you’ll become the real blue-eyed voodoo woman with Cajun power. George Rodrigue April 23, 1988”

Included in the listing photos is a scan of a news clipping provided by the Rodrigue Foundation, detailing George’s work for the Starlight Foundation. According to them, this personalized piece for Marla likely came from the event detailed in the clipping which George participated in.

I’ve seen many personalized Rodrigue pieces with little notes but never something with this much detail. There is some slight, barely noticeable damage which I’ve highlighted in the listing but overall this is in great condition, especially for its age, and certainly would look fantastic displayed. Please message with any questions.

The print is on some kind of high quality poster board, and will be shipped flat - I will ship UPS and have them pack it to ensure it’s packed as safely as possible for transport.
