She was a Amazing Strong Woman, Joy filled Woman, Grandmother and Artist   ๐Ÿ’–

About the Artist Frances Josephsen Trusdell:
Frances Josephsen Trusdell, my Grandmother, came to the US from Germany in 1914 Working 7 days a week for years to bring the rest of the family over from Germany. She Lived in Indiana Wisconsin & California where her daughter my mother lived. Finally moving to Camp Lagoon on Camano Island in Gorgeous Northern Washington in the 1950's where her Son had settled on a Beautiful enormous Farm with my Aunt and Cousins.

There on Camano Island in her home over looking the Puget Sound, she created a small studio she named "The Camano Art Center & Gallery" where she Created and Sold her Paintings and began Teaching.

Soon some of her paintings were shown at the Frye Art Museum and she won many accolades. Later her ambitions outgrew her home space on Camano Island and she purchased the Historic Hagstrom / Thompson House in Stanwood built by Sven A. Thompson in 1905 where she lived, painted and taught art classes, with students driving in from all over the state, including many driving in from Seattle and further. I spent almost all my Summers growing up with my Grandma and with my Cousins on their Camano Farm while she was giving her classes, Most Joy Filled Simple Happy Memories of my whole Life

Frances's favorite statement most every day was " I Love My Life!"
