This fabulous set of two antique puppet dolls of an old man and old lady are made of wood and clay having wood bodies, arms, legs and clay heads, bottom of their legs and hands.

These rod marionette figures which date from the early 20th century have movable limbs and would have once had strings attached to the limbs running down from their wire and wood supports in order to make them move. A wire is attached to the support which runs down through their heads in order to control them.

These two European figures which are most probably Czech have a real charm and make nice unusual decorative pieces.

Condition: Nice original antique condition with age related wear. Some cracking, tiny chips and wear to clothing. No longer have their strings. Please see pictures.
