Antique 19thC KPM Berlin Porcelain Italian Scene Plate Porzellan Teller Scenic

This product data sheet is originally written in English.

For sale is a superb plate made by KPM in the early 19th century . KPM didn't use the red orb as a painter's mark yet during this period thus you only have the blue scepter and impressed marks most of the time and sometimes a symbol that represents an individual painter as is the case here where we have two different painter's marks. The plate is hand painted with a gentleman in the center standing in some greenery. An unusual motif and really very nice. He is dressed in a fancy outfit and the shirt looks to be bursting at the front which I find funny. The rim has a superb blue ground with a nice gold trim - the blue being the very rare unglazed matte type color. My favorite color of all! A really nice plate!! The plate is just over 1.25 inches tall and 8.875 inches in diameter. It is marked underneath with the under glaze blue scepter mark as well as the two painter's marks I already mentioned and the description of the scene in Italian - Uomo del paese de Paganioa, Provincia dell"Aquila, Abbruzzo Ult. which means somethings like Man from the village of Paganioa, Province of Aquila, Abbruzzo Ult. not sure what the last part means. The plate is in superb condition with just a touch of wear and a tiny chip or flaw to the very edge as shown. One of the more unusual and nice pieces I have come across lately.
