Antique Austrian Officers Carriage Clock With Quarter Repeating Movement.

This stunning antique Austrian officers clock has a round, wooden case with a lovely rich colour. The top of the case then has a lovely shaped brass carry handle. The case then has four long, beautifully shaped feet which are cast to resemble the legs of an animal.

The dial is then enamel and set out in black Roman numerals. The dial then has a thin ring to the outside marking each minute. Finally the dial is finished by two beautifully shaped hands as well as a gilt surround and bezel with a protective glass.

The movement is then wound from the front and accessed from the back. It is ticking away via a balance wheel as well as chiming both the quarter past, half past, quarter to and the hour via two gongs. These chiming can then be repeated via the pull cord.
