1814 G. Britain Medal

Thomas Kettle's "Inseparable Friends"

Bramsen-1447, 25mm, Brass

Choice Mint State Details, Holed

A brightly lustrous yet choice original and colorful example of this popular and intriguing medal, which features Napoleon being led by the Devil to Elba (or Hell), backwards, on a donkey's back. Struck in England by Thomas Kettle, who is also well-known for making jettons and counters imitating Early U.S. gold coins. Neatly holed for suspension, but these can be found with an without the hole. A beautiful and affordable example.
