I bought this Bose system "used" a few years ago. Once I got it home, I knew I was in trouble: the buttons on top of the unit and on the remote sometimes worked and sometimes didn't. Doing a factory reset didn't help. Also, the battery didn't hold a charge.

The dead battery didn't seem to be a problem, as long as I used the included Bose power adapter. So with it plugged in, I used either (I don't remember which) the mini-usb Setup port (cable not included) in the back (with my MacBook) or the SoundTouch app on my phone to set it up (details can be found on-line). Once setup, I used the SoundTouch app to select the channels that I wanted to play.

I've decided to sell it because I want a fully working unit; not one where the buttons only work sometimes.

Therefore, it's sold as-as/for parts with no returns.
