3 Deykin & Sons Silver Plate Forks Antique Birmingham, England 1A Best quality

Deykin & Sons were elecroplaters in Birmingham, England from 1854 in what they called their "Venetian Works." (That is why you will see a gondola as part of the hallmark on 2 of these forks. The third fork, which seems identical in shape and design, carries the hallmarks of W&M Dodge of Manchester, so perhaps the two companies were affiliated or one bought the other's designs or molds.

English silverplaters at the time, used letters beginning with A to mark the quality of their silver plate. Deykin & Sons also added a numerical value. Number 1 was guaranteed for 25 years.

These forks are about 7 1/8 inches long, and are 7/8 inch wide at the tines.

Forks have normal wear and patina, but no large dings or cuts.

I have not polished or cleaned these forks, because I knew you might have a favorite method.

I will ship as soon as I receive payment.
