This Epson LCD Projector Model H556B is reliable and a good starting point for home movies.

The picture quality of new projectors is outstanding and a bit quieter than this one but this projector offered us the chance to see how much we'd use a projector - it turns out quite a lot.  We purchased a pull down screen and the image is good and there is some fan noise but literally sitting 50cm away from it I didn't have an issue with this for years.

I have included some photos of the projectors details -a quick set up photos so I didn't align the image but it is all fully functioning and it has a pull out leg to elevate the front of the machine.
