This is a lovely Victorian brass and iron standard double bed ( 4ft 6" wide ) the bed looks very tidy and has been painted recently so is in nice condition. The brass is lovey but some of it appears to have been sand blasted or some thing similar as it has a rough'ish appearence but does polish up pretty well. The base is a later addition but is ideal as it lifts off in two parts for transport and, the rest comes in sections . The bed does have a few marks and brass dings but really looks the part, it is over 100 years old so please remember it will not be perfect but is very tidy. The base is a strong ine one. The bed is ready for use and looks very nice. Dimensions  Height at the head end is 55", the foot is 45" and the side rails from the ground are 16" inc the base  the bed is a standard double width 54" and 76" long.
