Presented is an antique set of 8 American coin silver place, table or oval soup spoons made by Robert Wilson during the very early 1800s. This set is done in a classic form and the front of each handle has an old, original monogram of the letter O.


The back of each spoon has a maker's mark for Robert Wilson. This exact mark is illustrated on John McGrew's American coin silver book being used between 1803 to 1810.


This set is in excellent condition for its age with only minor surface wear.
