Shipping & Pricing FAQ  (Updated January 2023)
Some answers for commonly asked questions. Please do feel free to ask me questions!

Why have you moved international shipping to the eBay Global Shipping Programme?

I've had to make the decision to switch to the eBay Shipping Programme for my own seller protection for shipping outside of the UK. Due to a parcel passing through Customs slowly a refund was issued for
non-delivery, only for it to arrive several days later. The customer failed to repay for the item they received and were refunded for, which is an insult towards myself as a major developer keeping the SAM Coupé alive.
I cannot take such a loss again for someone's dishonesty.

Why is there a long shipping time on the listing?

With the current worldwide electronic component shortage it can take longer to get parts in to make hardware, but I am trying to keep stock of items ready to ship. The time listed for shipping on my listings should be taken as the worst case scenario as I do always aim to ship as quickly as possible.

Why has the price changed since I last looked at an item?

Again it's down to the component shortage. I'm seeing long lead times and huge price increases on a range of electronic parts, in particular silicon chips - even standard logic chips I've seen prices triple over the last six months. As a result, I do have to keep tabs on the pricing of the retro hardware I produce. Thanks for understanding.

Why are some pieces of hardware now listed and marked with a serial number?

It's a way to prevent some cases of fraud through the eBay return system by dishonest buyers returning old, damaged items after buying new.

Quazar - Celebrating 30 Years of Developing for the SAM Coupé!

I bought my first SAM Coupe back in 1993, and had my first game published after just 3 weeks, later starting as Quazar in 1995 when I released my first piece of hardware for the SAM Coupe - the Quazar Surround soundcard. Over the years I have now designed and released a vast range of hardware and software for the SAM, as well as releasing a regular magazine. SAM Revival is a printed magazine with an accompanying cover disk of software and aims to be packed full of all the latest SAM Coupé news, interesting features, articles and interviews, catering for everything SAM related. Currently on issue 26, the first issue launched back in August 2002 and has grown from strength to strength, being read by SAM users in 22 countries.

If you are looking for more SAM games, then take a look at SAM Revival magazine! It has featured a cover disk from issue 9 onwards and has featured both new and old commercial SAM games (with the full permission of the authors, and often an accompanying interview too!), here's the lineup of the games:
