MGB Roadster PNC 169J
Chrome bumper model with wire wheels produced with birds mouth grill and no overdrive.
Owned for the last 42
years by myself, only three owners from new, was renovated in 1979-81 bare metal
rebuild to the body, and again in 2009-10 where n/s and o/s floor replaced, A
posts repaired, front under wing trumpets replaced, sills and castle rails both
sides replaced, all body schutz wax oiled to prevent rust and under sealed the
whole underneath of the vehicle with the addition of front wheel arch plastic
protectors, the vehicle is on the MGB Register No 19067 Dated 21/08/1970. The car
has been converted to a single 12Volt battery which is in the boot and starts
first time. Original engine and gear box, I have kept the car as original as possible. Comes with Spare wheel and tonnau cover
Cosmetic.
The paint work is
solid but a few areas have blemishing in the paint finish, the vehicle shows no
sign of rust and is in generally very good solid condition.
The cylinder head is
the old leaded version ported with bigger valves and piper half race cam fitted
to the block in the 1980s but the head has a small crack which weeps water when
starting up and stops when the engine is warm, I have been reluctant to put a
sealer in the system as it had a new radiator fitted at the time and has never
posed a problem since.
The bonnet is of aluminium
which adds to lightness of the car and the hood and frame is in good condition,
has inertia seat belts fitted, I have a recorded photo history of the renovation and as many receipts for purchases made for parts.
Car tax free and does
not need an MOT but one can be provided before sale. Has never been raced or
rallied.

ignition [electric], starter motor, brake servo upgraded, fuel pump, petrol
tank, halogen headlights, re furbished wire wheel rims, Plastic liners to front
wheel arches and lots of other small items to many to list fitted over the 42
years i have had the vehicle, I also
have a collection of used parts, spare bumpers and hood frame which can go with
the car.
