US army m1956 pattern belt, second issue “vertical” weave in large size.

Introduced as part of the lighter, more versatile 56 pattern webbing equipment, this kit was primarily used during the Vietnam war, during which it in turn was replaced by the more rigid and moisture resistant m1967 equipment.

These belts are compatible with the majority of earlier webbing components and all of the subsequent ones.

This belt is in good, used condition, with some signs of wear, a bit of writing and tarnished metal parts. The US stamp is legible and it has a manufacturer’s stamp on the back.

It can be extended to a maximum length of approximately 54.5”, or shortened down to approximately half that length.
