This piece is a plastic holy water font for hanging on the wall.  It depicts the famous painting called "Head of Christ" by Warner Sallman.  This was painted in 1940 and the particular lithograph in this font is marked Copyright 1941 by Kriebel & Bates.  The back of the font is imprinted with Copyright C.M.P.C.  There is a glare on the pictures not on the plastic piece covering the picture.  The font is coppertone in color with a goldtone trim including angels, dove and the cross.  It measures 6 and 1/2 inches by 3 and 1/4 inches by about 3/4 inches deep.  It is in very good condition.

In researching this painting I found that it has two interesting features being the host on his forehead and a chalice at his temple, both pointing to the Holy Eucharist.
