A Shelley Art Deco "Lake & Balcony" Oxford shape demitasse cup & saucer. C1934. 

Ideal China / Canadian teaware pattern No 075 Lake & Balcony - Brown print. Yellow balcony with urn of  orange, yellow and green flowers in the foreground. Lake, trees and butterfly in the background. White ground. Yellow edges and ring handle. 

The shape of this cup and saucer is the Oxford shape which was produced between 1934 and 1940. 

The back stamp is the 1925-1940 green cartouche mark. 

Dimensions: demitasse cup base 39mm (1.5 inches) / diameter across top of cup 70mm (2.75 inches) / height of cup 61mm (2.3 inches) / diameter of saucer 120mm (4.75 inches).

Condition: Both pieces are in very good clean condition with no chips, cracks, crazing or signs of wear. Paintwork / enamelling is all in good order with no fading to the pattern. Both pieces have a very good "ping" to them when lightly tapped.
