A scarce Shelley "Diamonds" 11642 Queen Anne shape demitasse / coffee cup & saucer C.1928. 

Pattern No 11642 Diamonds: Gold print. Green diamond within a yellow diamond on a black motif, which has scrolled edges, and has below it red and blue fruit with green leaves on small panels. Black and grey scrolled motif on large panels. White ground. Gold edges. Entered into pattern book during or after 1928.

The shape of this cup and saucer is the Queen Anne shape which was produced between 1926 and 1960. 

The back stamp is the 1925-1940 green cartouche mark.

Dimensions: demitasse cup base 32mm (1.5 inches) / distance across top of cup 59mm (2.3 inches) / height of cup 60mm (2.3 inches) / saucer 112mm (4.4 inches).

Condition: Both pieces are in excellent clean condition with no chips, cracks, crazing, rubbing or scratching. All paintwork / enamelling is in excellent order with no fading to the pieces. Both pieces have an excellent "ping" to them when lightly tapped.
