An extremely rare Shelley "Cottage-3" 11859 Queen Anne shape cream jug & sugar bowl (from a coffee service). C.1931. 

Pattern No 11859 Cottage-3: Brown print. Cottage with blue roof and door. White ground. Blue trim and jug handle. Hand enamelled decoration. Entered into pattern book during or after 1931.

The shape of this cream jug & sugar bowl is the Queen Anne shape which was produced between 1926 and 1960. 

The back stamp is the 1925-1940 green cartouche mark.

Dimensions: 

Cream jug - base 33mm (1.25 inches) / distance from pouring lip to edge of handle 110mm (4.25 inches) / height 59mm (2.25 inches).

Sugar bowl - base 43mm (1.75 inches) / distance across top 94mm (3.75 inches) / height 59mm (2.25 inches).

Condition: Both pieces are in excellent clean pristine condition with no chips, cracks, crazing, rubbing, scratching or any signs of wear whatsoever. All paintwork / enamelling is in excellent order with no fading to the pieces. Both pieces have an excellent "ping" to them when lightly tapped. Fine examples.
