A fabulous Shelley Art Deco "Poppies" 12227 Princess shape tea trio. C.1933.

Pattern No 12227 Poppies: Orange and yellow poppies and green leaves. Brown trees behind the poppies. Orange edges and. Entered in pattern book during or after 1933.

The back stamp is the 1925-1940 green cartouche mark. 

The shape of this trio is the Princess shape which was produced between 1933 & 1940.

Dimensions: cup base 38mm (1.5 inches) / distance  across top of cup 84mm (3.25 inches) / height of cup 69mm (2.75 inches) / saucer 132mm (5.25 inches) / side plate 160mm (6.25 inches).

Condition: All 3 pieces are in very good clean condition with no chips, cracks, crazing or signs wear. All paintwork is in very good order with no fading to the pattern. All 3 pieces have a very good "ping" to them when lightly tapped.
