An extremely rare gravy boat from Emperor Franz (Francis) Joseph I of Austrian Empire and King of Hungary’s personal dinner service. He commissioned this in 1871 for himself and guests to use at his Royal Palace Buda.

His monogram is hand painted to both ends and the base is marked with the blue maker’s mark of Herend of Hungary.

It is one piece.
