Absolutely stunning Edwardian cotton lawn tea or day dress lavished with handmade bobbin lace at the shoulders & bottom center panel with needle and crocheted lace making up the rest. There are a few inevitable but minor issues, all commiserate with the age and material used, although I’m surprised there isn’t more damage, considering the delicate nature of hand lace, which is especially prone to damage.

The flaws are as follows: a few small spots, which with look like faded rust to me, a few breaks in the lace (which are the 2 most serious of the problems, although they’re also the least visible), 2 hook & eye closures are missing one of the components (but all could stand to be secured or replaced if the dress will be worn). Everything appears to be repairable, if you have the inclination to do so. Overall, this is a beautifully made, highly detailed & well preserved piece that is wearable or fit for display just as is.

Measurements are in the item details. Please keep in mind that the bodice is gathered and darted, so there is some allowance for a slightly broader back or bust size, but from waist to hip, it’s definitely form fitting.
