For sale is a superb figural wall shelf / bracket shelf likely made by an English maker for the American market or even possibly by an American maker. Definitely made in the mid to late 19th century and of very nice quality. This same maker also made a similar shelf held up by an eagle. The piece is made of Parian porcelain and thus does not have a glaze on it and is very well modeled and of good quality.The shelf is supported by the angel's head with its wings on either side with the shelf resting on top. Just a stunning look! Certainly a very fun and unusual piece. Would look amazing on the wall with some nice vase or figurine on top for example.
